The 4th Annual Success Academy Rhino Trust Banquet held at Theatre on the Track on 15th October 2016 was a great success! The Success Academy sponsored the evening and all funds generated were donated to the Rhino Trust, a grand total of R722,900.00. These funds will be used wisely to take better care of our Rhinos.
The theatre was packed with 450 guests, all united in the quest to create a greater awareness amongst humanity of our God-given responsibility to protect planet Earth and the creatures that share it with us, especially our Rhinos. (See photo gallery)
Andre Schwartz, Samantha Peo and company provided outstanding entertainment throughout the evening. The catering which was provided by the venue, was exceptional and of the highest standards! The décor was tastefully designed by Conceptspark, creating a romantic ambiance in the theatre. Our auctioneer, Joff van Reenen, from The High Street Auction Company, once again proved that he is in a class of his own.
We were honoured to have Major General (retrired) Johan Jooste, the man who directs the anti-poaching war in the country at the event. It was a great privilege to hand Maj Gen Jooste the keys for the brand new Toyota Cruiser nick named “Meerkat” sponsored by The Success Academy Rhino Trust. This vehicle will be used in the Kruger National Park to mobilise the new WASS Surveillance System for SANParks. In the process, the SANParks Honorary Rangers were recognised for the important work that they are doing.
The Success Academy Rhino Trust is a unique organisation as it has no overheads and all funds generated are used on carefully selected projects. We anticipate that this trust will be used extensively in the future to channel funds to projects that really make a difference on the ground.
